It was a Sunday and I was having a cup of tea in the nearby cafe. The time was quarter past 11 in the morning. The weekend crowd was slowly picking up its pace and in no time the cafe was full. There were three empty seats around my table and it waited for its visitors…
Think of something in your life that you’ve wanted to accomplish but haven’t. Something deep down. Whether it’s because you haven’t gotten around to it, are too timid to go for it, or you took a shot and failed deliberately. Conjure up in your mind that big failure of your life. Perhaps you’re in the middle of it now.
Time and again whenever we feel down, this particular thought pops in our mind “Why me?”. But, when something extremely successful happens we usually don’t get those thoughts. After tasting great success, have you ever thought “why me?”. Most of us would not have thought so. So what drives our emotions? What drives us? What is that force that drives us every second we live on this planet?
Take a minute and name all the things that you love.
It’s okay if you take more than a minute to name everything, just make sure you don’t miss anything.
How long did you take to name yourself?
“Open your eyes, look within.
Are you satisfied with the life you are living?”
– Bob Marley
There are two major types of humans. One of them frequently says, “From here on, I’m going to live my life”. Other says “I’m just surviving my life” (with a sigh). What’s the big difference? We all live through this game of life. But, what’s the margin that decides whether we are living our surviving?
Sun is shining,
Father is snoring,
She giggles and says “ga ga gaaah.”
When he was about to end his life, it asked him to stop.
When she was about to lose hope of her life, it asked her to gain hope.
When he fell down for the first time, it told him not to repeat the same mistake again.
When she fell in love with him, it asked her to go and confess.
When he faced failure, again and again, it asked him to get up and run the race of life.
When a silence prevailed between the couple, it asked them to kiss.
“It” is constantly trying to communicate with each and every one of us. Few of us listen, but few of us do not care. It is trying to give us signs. It is trying to show the path of our life. What is it?
Winter in Switzerland was at its peak. The room was occupied by a pretty couple. The fireplace provided the warmth.
‘1034 days’, She said blushing and turning pink. He was stroking her hair and kissed her forehead. They lay nearby the fireplace… covered in a blanket of wool. They kissed again. Their bodies glowed like gold. That night, it was time to make some passionate love and battle the cold with the warmth of their bodies. Beads of sweat fell on her cheeks. Now, they lay exhausted.
There are times when the least expected happens. We take a lot of time to recapitulate the person or the event he/she is associated with. Few may turn out to be an ultimate shock. A person may come back to you after 10 years, and talk about an incident which you almost forgot. You may meet a “classmate” or a “batchmate” of yours at a train station/airport or a local bus. A batchmate will become a best friend. Most of the friendships grow stronger after getting a break from their routine. A bucket full of the feelings come rushing in you when you leave a person at his/her doorstep after spending the day with them. We miss them… and it’s weird, right?
Bangkok, Thailand!! That’s what this post is all about!
It was 26th December 2014. Myself and two of my buddies were all set to start our journey to Bangkok. We were to attend an International Conference. Note that the conference was scheduled on 28th of December. This was going to be my second trip to a foreign destination.
